Stadhagen

Well, it’s Monday and another motorhome weekend has been and gone.
Stadthagen, another town on the Deutsche Fachwerk Strasse, was the destination this time.  After a couple of hours taking the scenic route from our house, we arrived early on Friday evening at the stellplatz at Tropicana.  Parking and tank emptying was free, with electric hook up and water available for a small fee.
As we have a solar panel and no high power equipment, we didn’t see a need to plug in.  Pete will be updating his tech page at some point, so I have no doubt he will enlighten those interested, on the finer details of our equipment.
We happened to arrive during the spring fair and as a result, the air was filled with fairground ride screamers and party music.  We saved the pennies and opted not to join the revellers.  Instead, we waited until after it had closed at 11pm and had a wander around the moonlit centre with Powell.   Although not as picturesque overall as Hitzacker or Nienburg, there was still plenty to see in the town and we took a good few hours to do just that the next morning.
A lazy afternoon ensued, followed by coffee and cake, another wander with the pooch and some retail therapy.  Pete now has a camping chair and we have a new cushion for Dora!

The 500 year old legal administration centre, now the heritage museum (Heimat museum)
